We find in the New Orleans papers of 2d inst. dates to the 24th ult. There is little intelligence of interest. The Governor General, in compliance with the desires of the Municipality of Puerto Principe, that he should visit the capitol of Camaguey, embarked for Nuevitas on the 18th in a war steamer.
The Spanish line of battle ship Soberano, arrived in 38 days from Cadiz, having on board D. Manuel Ransom Tarco del Valle, senior magistrate of the Royal Court of Appeals. The arrival of this Spanish ship of the line made quite a holiday. A company of Mexican Toreros (bull fighters) with Mexican bulls, were exhibiting in Havana to the great edification of the inhabitants—while the Italian opera of Romeo and Juliet, by Pico Antognini, was a rival exhibition.
