RED CROSS WILL ELECT WEDNESDAY

Hoping that the third time will prove a charm, officers of the Memphis chapter, American Red Cross, have issued a call to members to attend a meeting Wednesday afternoon for the purpose of election of officers. On two previous occasions such a call has been sent out but lack of attendance forced postponement. It is necessary that 50 members of the chapter be in attendance at elections.

The meeting will be held at Red Cross headquarters, 146 Court avenue. Time of the meeting has been set for 2 o'clock instead of the customary hour of 3. This change was made in order to comply with fuel closing orders.

In addition to election of officers some important business will come before the chapter. Work yet to be done in connection with various soldier cases, plans for the coming year and a determined effort to interest additional Memphians in Red Cross endeavor will be taken up.
