Full Text

NO DENIAL.

What no answer? Silent as the grave? Do you stand mute? It is admitted, then, that the proposition was made to sell out the Log Cabin Debtors, to raise money to invest in the suspended Banks? But, pray guess the reason. What was the reason assigned for the heartless cruelty to the people who were debtors for their Log Cabins? We are not given to betting; but here's an offer! We will give any "whig," who can guess right, a big gourd, provided he answers in time to insert in the Standard soon, and if he does not do it, we mean to go to guessing ourselves.

"Look out," as the "whigs" say.

"Why, oh, tell us why?" as the song goes.
