HINTS FROM HERBERT HOOVER.
WHEN THE CHILDREN WILL NOT DRINK MILK.

Milk is one of the easiest foods to camouflage into tasty dishes for children or others, who do not care for it as a beverage. Custards, milk soups, cottage cheese, blanc mange, cereal and tapioca puddings, malted milks, egg nogs, cocoa, cereal cooked in milk and served with fruit are all suggestions from the United States food administration. Here are plans for three meals for the children, each containing at least one milk dish, so that about a quart of milk is used for each child during the day.

Breakfast
Oatmeal cooked in Milk
Stewed Fruit
Toast
Cocoa

Dinner
Chicken Fricasse with Milk Gravy
Baked Potatoes
Carrots
Baked Custard

Supper
Oyster Stew, or Cream of Corn Soup thickened and strained
Toasted Crackers
Baked Apple with Top Milk
Molasses Ginger Cookies
