Wrangell Drug Recovering From September Fire

One of the biggest news stories of this year and one of the most exciting evenings was when the furnace exploded and gutted the Wrangell Drug building last September.

Owners James and Elsie Nolan expect a financial loss of about $100,000, only half of which was insured.

The picture in the upper left taken the morning after the fire looking from the drug department toward the burned out soda fountain side.

The other picture is the building as it is now that the windows have been replaced and the outside refinished.

Interior work is being completed. In spite of the Christmas shopping rush, under the foremanship of local contractor Hans Enzbrunner.
