BUILD OUR GOVERNMENT

President Roosevelt's broadcast on the evening of March 29, 1941 was rather weak and confused in its analysis of the world situation of fascism, war, peace, communism and democracy. Mr. Roosevelt said that under fascism the people were under one party (that's true). I wonder if the people of the United States ELECTED a president and if they thoroughly understood the political maneuvers of the two major parties in our country. Willkie, the nominee for president on the Republican ticket, was a Democrat a few months before his nomination by the Republican party. He put up a good bluff as an opponent to Roosevelt personally, but accepted Roosevelt's policy and program as good. He is now in the Roosevelt mud puddle with both feet.

Mr. Roosevelt attacked communism on its stand for peace. He says that communists are the war lords of the world. While they are preaching peace they are trying to cause dissension among the people. To create dissension is an almost impossible undertaking in a government of satisfied people. Mr. Roosevelt has been preaching peace all through his administration, while constantly preparing for war by the slogan of "All Aid to Britain to Save the World's Democracy." In Europe, where?

Mr. Roosevelt brought out in his talk that nazi Germany sent to a concentration camp an industrialist who helped build fascism in Germany. That industrialist must have been Fritz Thyssen, the master mind of fascism, the mind that conceived the plan of world fascism with headquarters in Madrid, Berlin, London and Wall Street and backed by international bankers, imperialists and their cohorts.

The American shores are swarming with nobility, international bankers, industrialists of the world, fascist appeasers and they are all receiving a welcome at Washington, D. C. I was reading in the evening paper of the kept press of March 29th that Wenner-Gren, a friend and consort of the Duke of Windsor, a Swedish multi-millionaire and a pro-nazi has settled in the Bahamas, on a little isle known as Hog Island, one of the British dependencies in America. He is surrounding his own hundred acre plot with homes for those that can afford it. A created lake in the center of the property with deep channels for yachts leads to the Nassau harbor. His principality will regularly employ 800 natives.

The Duke of Windsor is the ruler of the Bahamas and is much pleased with his friend's plans. It will be interesting to watch these people, the imperialists and multi-millionaires searching for and building retreats of safety, consoling and strengthening the confidence of each other in their ability to stem the tide of a moving mass of humanity that is clamoring and growling for the necessities of life. Watch the Americas because it is almost a safe bet that they will be the last stomping grounds of the world's imperial fascists. Europe is almost sure to go left and continue

in that direction. Why? Because there is no plan that the human mind can conceive that will allow the people of Europe to consume the necessities of life under the old order. America's ruling class and leadership is and has been for some time courting royalty. American people who believe in democracy and democracy practiced by the majority of the people certainly don't believe in a rule of nazism or fascism. Nor do they believe in or have sympathy for the rule of any nation by a crowned head or feudal lords, a system of government that the great mass of people have fought and given their blood to defeat as far back as there are any records of civilization. Monarchial government is fascism in its worst form and certainly should not be supported by seekers of Freedom and Democracy. It is rather amusing to note the propaganda that the perverters of the American Constitution and Democracy use. If you are not for England then you must be for Hitler. Which is a vile way of using pressure on the common man. Our fight is not to choose the best of two rotten forms of government. Our fight is to build a free democratic form of government in the United States for its citizens.
