A Mexican expedition sailed from Vera Cruz the latter part of August, consisting of the schr Liberty, the City of Dublin steamer, man-of-war brig, new war steamer built in England Guadaloupe, and two barges and two schrs as transports, conveying about 2000 men. They arrived at Laguna early in September where the Yucatan force surrendered immediately. The Mexican vessels are manned with English and American sailors, officers all English; sailors shipped in England paid in advance by the Government.
