KNOXVILLE, Tenn., -(ANP)- Dr. O. B. Taylor. local physician and civic leader, last week was unanimously elected to membership on the Knoxville Planning Commission.

Councilman J. S. Cooper and Mayor George R. Dempster supported Dr. Taylor for the position.

The veteran physician has practiced in Knoxville for about 30 years and has been active in many civic, religious and fraternal organizations. Among them are the State Tuberculosis commission, Knoxville Council of Churches (interracial), executive board Round Table -National Conference of Christians and Jews. board of management Canslor Branch YMCA, various medical organizations and the Masons and the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

He also has served for 19 years as medical inspector of local school system.
