GREENVILLE, Ga. - (SNS)
Recaptured in Pittsburgh, Pa., Raymond Mosley, who escaped from the Meriwether county chain gang on March 10, 1934, has been returned to this city.
Mosley, who is the last of four prisoners who overpowered a guard and escaped to be taken into custody, is serving a life sentence for murder. He was sent to the Meriwether gang from Spalding county.
Capt. Roy Seay, county warden who returned him from the northern city, states that records at the prison commission office in Atlanta list Mosley as having escaped once before, on July 20, 1932. He was recaptured the same day.
The man started serving his sentence on February 18, 1930.
