The Yuba Railroad.—The Appeal understands that Colonel Wilson has received another installment of iron, and that he is laying the track Marysvilleward again. It is said in excuse for Col. Wilson's delay that he has encountered obstacles beyond his control; that as soon as overcame the Colonel began his work again. The track is said to be laid about one mile north of Wheatland, and it is expected if the weather proves pleasant, that the locomotive will whistle on the highlands, about three-fourths of a mile from this city, within a few weeks.

Very well. Whence the necessity of all the blowing accomplished by Chico and Marysville about "mutual interests"? If it was done for any other purpose except that Chico was plundering the Government of $45,000 annually for a senseless and useless mail route, and that Marysville was uselessly detaining the travel for fourteen hours, we certainly fail to see it.

Wells Fargo & Co.'s Express office at Susanville has been discontinued and their express business transferred to the line through Nevada. It could not have been better fixed up to throw the business and travel on the Nevada line, than it has been by Chico and Marysville. They are the "Dogs in the manger" that have destroyed the Northern California line.

To hide the misfortunes that their unredeemed selfishness has brought upon Northern California, they raised the cry of "Stop thief!" against Wilson. The first heavy snow storm will probably do away with the Bidwellonian humbug from Chico to Idaho, and if the completion of the Yuba railroad shall dispense with the detention at Marysville, the Northern California route to Idaho may be straightened and topped so as to beat the Nevada route 48 hours, and thus command the business and travel. All the route requires is a fair showing from you "mutual interest" chaps, and to be placed in the hands of competent business men, where we hope soon to see it. Northern California has had a surfeit of Bidwellonian bungling and selfishness.
