The Wilkes School, at Money, held its Dedication services Sunday May 7, 1961. This was a very great service: In honor of the great services Mr. C. H. Wilkes, and his wife Mrs. Mary J. Wilkes, had rendered in the Leflore County, in helping to develop great men and women, the occasion brought a large number together for this Dedication and a fine Program was rendered. Mr. A. A. Alexander, Assistant Supervisor Negro Schools Jackson, Miss., delivered the Dedicatory Address that was fine. Many useful gifts was given Mrs. Wilkes, as a Token for her unselfish service to the community.
