Canfield Drug Store Yields $100 to Natty Holdup Man

A flashily dressed bandit brandishing a blue steel revolver held up the Canfield Drug store at 4247 Hastings, last Saturday night and escaped with between $75 and $100 in five and ten dollar bills.

The manager, Herbert Smith, 5364 Lovett, stated that the man entered the store about 9 p.m., drew the gun and said, "This is a stickup." He ordered Smith to hand over the money from the cash register and then escaped out the front door.

Two customers were in the store at the time of the holdup but they left before officers could get their names.
