Well, I wouldn't want to do that," said the pig who was now feeling better since the tickling had stopped. "But he certainly made me feel queer. No wonder you call him a Funny Bug. Is that all he does, go about tickling?"

"That's all I do." answered the Funny Bug for himself. "This is what I do it with," and with one of his ten legs he pointed to the fuzzy jigger growing in front' of what you might call his face-that is if a bug has a face.

"Ha! Ha!" laughed Mr. Twistytail. "It certainly was a joke on me. I couldn't imagine what was in the middle of my back where I couldn't reach it to scratch. I was going to get my wife with a corn cob to help me."

"I'm glad you didn't," murmured the rabbit. "I wouldn't want my Funny Bug hurt."

"Oh. I would have jumped when I saw the corn cob," buzzed the bug.

Just then there was a noise in the bushes and Mr. Twistytail said:

"Here comes Mr. Stubtail, your bear gentleman friend, Wiggy. Let's have the Funny Bug tickle the middle of his back. That is if the bug can get under Stubby's thick fur."

"Oh. yes. I can do that." buzzed the Funny Bug. "But you have made a mistake, Twisty. This isn't a bear gentleman coming. It's the Bob Cat. See, here he is!"

With that the Bob Cat popped out of the bush ready to get Uncle Wiggily. But the Funny Bug flew to the middle of the Bad Chap's back and tickled and tickled and tickled so hard that the Bob Cat loudly howled and away he ran to get rid of the ticklish feeling.

So the Funny Bug saved Uncle Wiggily and also saved himself. For, when the Bob Cat was far away from the rabbit the bug flew off his back and if the iceman will stop trying to go skating on top of the gas stove when the milkman wants to make tea, I'll tell you next about Uncle Wiggily's hot day.
