Admiral Graves, of the British navy, and his son, passed through this city on Sunday to the southward.

This gentleman possesses some landed estate in Carolina, which he is come hither to arrange, in order to guard against impending events.

Admiral Graves said without scruple in this city, that the mission of Mr. Rose was not intended to make any change in the political differences between the U. States and G. Britain.

He further said, that the British government would not depart a tittle from the ground assumed in the proclamation....Ib.
