Election Frauds.

PHILADELPHIA, NOV. 17.—James Dobson has been held for issuing fraudulent tax receipts on election day, and George Holland (colored) was also held for voting on a tax receipt, in which the name of another person had been erased and Holland's substituted. The prosecutions were brought by the Committee of One Hundred. A member of that body said to-day that the investigations had convinced the committee that a well-defined plot had been made at the recent election to defeat the candidates indorsed by the committee, and number of bogus tax receipts had been distributed over the city. The committee had information that the receipts were made in New York. They expected to secure the plates upon which the fraudulent documents were printed. He hinted that other arrests will follow.
