Distressing Accident. As a party of three ladies were passing over to Chelsea in the ferry-boat, last evening, one of their number, named Mullen, in attempting to step on shore before the boat had fully reached the landing, slipped down between the boat and the wharf, and was caught by the boat. She was crushed in a dreadful manner, and the physicians, who were in attendance the entire night, thought that she could not recover. At 10 o'clock this morning she was just alive. She is about 18 years of age, and belongs to Medford.—Traveller.
