"Cards are said to be sending about to all the members of Parliament, requesting their attendance on the 9th of January, the day the Parliament meets, as something very material is expected to be laid before the House that day."

"The report of a French war is revived again, yet many think it is only calculated to serve some jobs in Change alley."

"Notwithstanding the reports in the papers of the Parliament being to be prorogued until February, it is confidently asserted here that it will meet on the 9th of January, for the dispatch of business."
