Full Text

Breslin, the idol of the "democracy," the man who has robbed the people of $760,000, has given "leg-bail" and "yamosed" the country. He knows he is a guilty man, that he has violated his oath, betrayed his friends, robbed the State, and ruined the fair fame of his successor.—He dare not stand up like a man and court an open and impartial investigation.

How different the conduct of Mr. Gibson, throughout the whole transaction, he has demeaned himself like an honest man and stood his ground amid a storm of slander and abuse from Breslin's favorites. We understand that officers of the State are on Breslin's track, and hopes are entertained that he may be brought back. The Governor and other officers of the State, are nobly doing their duty in this matter, and in due time will receive their reward from a grateful people.
