One of the saddest accidents occurred last Friday at the farm of G. E. Potter in the vicinity of Kendrick, says the Lewiston Teller. While Mr. Potter's hired men were chopping feed with a chop mill, the little 4-year-old boy of Mr. Potter slipped into the barn, and, it is supposed, attempted to step over the tumbling shaft, when his clothes caught on the knuckle and drew him under. Those who were present think that he made at least seventy-five revolutions around the rod before the horse power could be stopped. He was beaten to death, only living about one-half hour. The poor distracted and broken hearted mother has the sympathy of the entire people. Mr. Potter is now in New Mexico. This sad affair has cast a gloom over the entire community.
