Jonas One Of Three Speakers For GOP Event

CHARLOTTE- Three congressmen have been scheduled to address North Carolina Young Republicans at their state convention and Lincoln Day dinner here this month, the organization announced Thursday.

The GOP representatives are Charles R. Jonas of North Carolina's 10th District, who will give the keynote speech; Pat Hillings of California and William Cramer of Florida.

Spokesmen for the Young Republicans predicted also that a close race will be run at the convention Feb. 24-26 for state posts of chairman, national committeeman and national committeewoman.

Rep. Cramer, newest addition to the slate of speakers, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and is the first Republican since 1875 to be elected from Florida's First District.
