Full Text

Kentucky.--On the 2d instant, the election for electors was held in this state, and but thinly attended. The federalists made no opposition; but there was much division among the republicans respecting their candidates. In fact, had the candidates been republicans and federalists, they could not have more strongly exerted themselves to lessen the influence of each other.

The result of the Kentucky election, there is scarcely a necessity for anticipating--there is no doubt but eight friends to Jefferson and Clinton have been chosen Electors.
