Woman Tells of Shooting

LONG BEACH, Cal., Oct. 23. (U.P.)

Her stoical calm broken after a long siege before police inquisitors, Mrs. Louise Freeman today confessed slaying her husband T J. Freeman, "because he called me harsh names."

Freeman, a gunner's mate on the USS Arizona was shot to death early yesterday in their Long Beach home. When police arrived in response to neighborhood reports of hearing gunshots, they found Mrs. Freeman bending over the bullet-riddled body.

For hours, however she professed innocence.
