Miss Ila Jakkola Sustains Broken Left Leg When Sedan Turns Over

Miss Ila Jakkola, living west of here, received a fractured left leg and a deep gash on the right ankle when the light sedan in which she was a passenger hit loose gravel at the top of Brewery hill Saturday night and turned over.

Frank Homan of Red Lodge, driver and only other occupant of the machine, escaped with minor cuts and bruises.

The couple was returning to Red Lodge from Miss Jakkola's farm home on Willow creek, where Homan had called for the girl to take her to a dance, when the accident occurred between 10:30 and 11 o'clock Saturday night.

The car had just began its descent of the hill, located in north Red Lodge, when it struck the gravel, getting out of Homan's control and rolling over once into the ditch. The machine came to a stop right side up and was slightly damaged. It was driven to Red Lodge under its own power shortly after the mishap.

Miss Jakkola is a patient at Adams hospital here, where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.
