Full Text
We hear there is lately formed at Oneida (one of the six confederate Nations of Indians) a Church of Christ, consisting of seventeen Members, under the pastoral Care of the Rev. Samuel Kirkland, Missionary to the Indians---Numbers more being awakened out of their Heathenism, and offering to join themselves to the Church, since the first Communion of the holy Ordinance of the Lord's Supper, March 5, 1769. There is a considerable Prospect of the Gospel's being spread among those Nations ; and it is hoped they will not be forgotten in the Prayers of all that wish well to, and desire the Enlargement of the Redeemer's Kingdom.
