Troop 666 was scheduled to leave this morning for Pilgrim Springs for their annual encampment. The boys from Nome were accompanied by Rev. Reeves Havens, newly-appointed Scout leader by the Nome Rotary Club. It is planned that the Nome troop will be joined by other troops in this area Kotzebue, Teller, and Shishmaref-and by Duane Force, Boy Scout executive for the area who is due to arrive from Fairbanks.
Boys leaving today are Charles Fagerstrom, Paul Glavinovich, Bobby Bahnke, William Willoya, Bruce and Robert Russell, Tommy Drake, Robert Dunbar and Cub Scout Lanny Havens. They plan to be gone a week and are being flown in by Alaska Airlines.
