ALASKA

IDAHO'S SECOND GOVERNOR NOW DESTITUTE IN CALIFORNIA,
Had Political Reverses Fifteen Years Ago.

AUBURN, Cal., Jan. 4.-(Special.)- N.I. Willey, second governor of Idaho, lies in a hospital cot here, destitute.

He was brought from a distant mining claim in the Blue Canyon district where he located 15 years ago, following political reverses in Idaho. He is without vigor to draw him thru his present illness, acute intestinal trouble as a result of having been often without sufficient food, it is said. He has no clear title to his claim. Mr. Willey became governor of Idaho in 1890.
