Taylor Meeting in New York.

An immense meeting to ratify the nomination of TAYLOR and FILLMORE was held in front of National Hall, New York city, on Tuesday evening. The Express states that there were twenty thousand persons present, while the Courier puts down the number at thirty thousand! At the opening of the meeting a lot of locofoco rowdies gathered around the stand and shouted for Henry Clay—to make it appear that Whigs still clung to him—but they were soon kicked out of the way by the Whigs and all things went on well thereafter.
