Full Text

We received this week, from the new territory of Arkansas, an account of the proceedings of the citizens of the town and neighborhood, held on the Fourth of July last, together with the toasts drank on the occasion. It is so late now, that their publication would scarcely be gratifying.

Their preparations were very considerable, expecting to meet, on that day, the executive and judicial officers of the new government. Among the rest of the toasts, we feel happy in seeing our Clay, our Johnson, and the South American patriots, noticed.
