Victory Loan Announced;
Oct. 29-Dec. 8

Herb Fawcett, chairman of Imperial county, was advised Tuesday that the treasury department has set October 29 through December 8 for the Victory war loan drive. The total for the nation is 12 billions. Quotas for counties have not been set, Fawcett said.

Under the plan, savings bonds purchased through November and December will be counted on quotas. Of the 12 billions, five billions will be individual bonds, including F and E series. Seven billions will be in industrial series.
