BEWARE OF SPURIOUS TICKETS.-The coalition, despairing of success, will resort to every trick and device in their power to cheat the people. We may expect all sorts of tickets, printed so as to resemble ours as nearly as possible. But no intelligent freeman will endorse his prox without a strict examination to see that all is right.

Some of our country friends were remarking a day or two since, how quiet and docile the understrappers had become. One can now pass quietly along the side walk, without the least molestation. The fact is, they tried for a spell, to bully and frighten us-talked largely about betting, and all that nonsense-- but finding it all would not do, they have given it up in despair.

The federal party gave a dinner-supper to Tristam Burgess the other evening, for which he paid, by amusing the company with an electioneering speech, an hour and a half long. For some of the false statements made by Mr. Burgess, perhaps he is in no other wise answerable, than that he should not have repeated the words put into his mouth by others, without examining into the truth of the case himself.

Nearly all our paper is occupied with political matter in reference to the approaching election--after this, we shall devote more space to news and miscellaneous matter.

The New-York papers by yesterday's steam-boat bring important news received at that place by the arrival of ship Hibernia from Liverpool, with papers to March 21. When we received our papers, our types were nearly all set up, and our paper nearly full-we have room only to state--that there has been a series of sanguinary battles between the Russians and Poles, near Warsaw, which resulted favorably to the latter- Italy is in a state of insurrection, and the Austrian army was concentrating for a general movement. A considerable change has taken place in the French Ministry-an insurrection has broken out in Spain--A regent has been elected in Belgium-all the particulars of which we will endeavor to give to our readers in our next paper.
