WASHINGTON CITY, Nov. 26.

Last evening, the First Dancing Assembly for the season was held at Mr. Stiles's. The company consisting of above one hundred ladies and gentlemen, among the latter of whom were several public characters, and members of the Federal Legislature assembled at an early hour. The exhibition was flattering to the expanding prospects of Washington; and the universal spirit of good humour and gaiety which prevailed is the truest evidence of the amicable sentiments which characterise in an eminent degree the citizens of the metropolis.
