ANOTHER NEW ORLEANS VICTORY!

The following article of intelligence will be read with pleasure by every member of the democratic party throughout the union. The Senate of the United States has gained an accession of incalculable importance in the election to that body of the Hon. Edward Livingston—whose sound democratic politics, and splendid attainments as a civilian and legislator, are not yet lost to the country by the base and envious proscriptions of the Adams dynasty. The packet ship John Laton, Capt. Wibrary, arrived last evening from New Orleans, bringing papers to the 20th ult. inclusive. The Legislature of Louisiana, on the 12th, elected the Hon. Edward Livingston, a Senator to Congress, on the 5th ballot, by a vote of 62 given.
