We are informed, that on Sunday last, the Kentucky river was higher than it has ever been known.--Several boats and much property have been lost in consequence thereof. In attempting to stop a wrecked boat passing Frankfort, a man was unfortunately drowned. The rains were so excessive in this town on Friday last, as to raise the water to such an extent in the garden of Mr. Robert Bradley, that it washed down his garden wall from between 60 and 100 feet in length-This wall was of brick, and 7 or 8 feet high. On Saturday last the people of Frankfort experienced a severe hail storm; The hail stones are said to have weighed from half an ounce to an ounce-Scarce a single light of window glass that was exposed escaped being broken.
