Anderson Perry, colored, acquitted of participating in the murder of Emily Brown, an old white woman, was released from prison at 11 o'clock Monday in Baltimore, and went to a house in Cider alley, a short distance from the Maryland University of Medicine, where he was employed. As soon as his presence in the neighborhood was known the house where he stopped was surrounded by several hundred colored people, who threatened to take his life as soon as he made his appearance on the street. A squad of police soon dispersed the crowd and escorted Perry to the University building, which is closely guarded by policemen stationed at all the entrances. It is not known what can be done with Perry to protect his life, except to commit him to the House of Correction as a vagrant. None of the colored people will admit him into their houses and many of them declare he will be killed if he goes on the street at night. They fully believe he has murdered many people and sold their bodies for dissection.
