Left Lakehurst Late Yesterday—Is Returning Today Without Mooring.
WASHINGTON, Feb. 21.—Dirigible Los Angeles, which left Lakehurst yesterday afternoon for Bermuda, with mail, started on the return trip today without mooring, after hovering in the air for three hours for an opportunity, according to a radio to the Navy Department.
The weather prevented mooring to the Patoka, which lay at Hamilton for the purpose.
Officials said the return, with the errand unperformed, was in accordance with the program if weather was adverse.
