Prof. Fulks Offered Fine Position

Last Saturday morning Superintendent B. F. Fulks of the M. & M. schools was called to Zanesville to meet the superintendent of the Mansfield schools, at the request of the latter. At the meeting Mr. Fulks was offered the principalship of the Mansfield high school of 1400 pupils at a splendid salary, much larger than what he receives here. The offer appealed to Mr. Fulks, and he asked that the board of education here release him. Due to the fact that our schools here are in such splendid shape and that there would be difficulty in getting some satisfactory person to take his place, the board wisely refused to grant Prof. Fulks' request.
