Full Text

New-York, February 15.

On Sunday last, Captain John Mills arrived in this city, on his journey from the American posts, upon the Ohio, to the eastward. Captain Mills informs, that the Grand Councils of the Indian Warriors continue to be held at the Wiandot towns; and that the celebrated Colonel Brandt, and a number of Warriors from Detroit, and environs, have recently joined this Council. These Councils, it is feared, are big with mischief--mischief that we may venture to charge to the account of our Britannic friends, whose gratuities of late, to the various tribes of Indians, have not been inconsiderable.
