Out in a Gale.

Messrs. John L. Robins and George Clayville went on a ducking expedition on Thursday in Christmas. They left here early in the morning and went down to the bay, where they took a small scow and poled out. They had only been out a short while when the wind breezed up and soon a heavy northwester was howling and the occupants of the scow were at the mercy of the wind and waves, being unable to manage their craft. They were blown out into the big bay and it was a number of hours before they managed to get ashore. The gentlemen suffered much from the cold and Clayville's hands were frozen so badly that he has not been able to work since.
