Lobby Charge Is Made
By President

WASHINGTON, June 29. — President Roosevelt has severely condemned what he termed a lobby charged with fighting the utility holding company legislation.

The President has called for House approval of the Senate bill containing a provision abolishing "unnecessary" holding companies in seven years.

WARNING

WASHINGTON, June 29. — Senate leaders gave a warning they will move to kill the Administration's utilities bill if the House does not approve the "death sentence" abolishing holding companies. This was made after the President, in renewing his demand for mandatory abolition and charging the most powerful lobby ever organized was employing deliberate falsifications in its fight against that provision.
