The courses were sponsored by the local Jaycees and the Business and Professional Women's clubs.
Mrs. Grace Hubbard, master of ceremonies, introduced the following students in short after dinner speeches: Mrs. R. B. Wilson, Mrs. Dick Darden, Mrs. Florence Johnson, Mrs. Art Tenglund, Mrs. Albert Britt, Mrs. Louise Mills, E. L. Peterson, Clifford Barksdale, Joe Williams, Stewart Warren, James H. Register, Wilbur Pearson, Ralph Moore and Misses Mildred Swinson, Minnie Wallace, Faye West, Eleanor Southerland, Mary Elizabeth Banks, Corneva Bass and Eunice Cook.
Mrs. Art Tenglund received the prize for best speech of the evening; Mrs. Albert Britt for the most improvement in speaking during the term, and Mrs. Grace Hubbard and Eleanor Southerland for the best speaking throughout the course.
A toast to Professor Padgett was given by Mrs. Dick Darden, assisted by members of the class.
