BOSTON, February 9.
By a Gentleman that arrived here the 4th instant in Capt. Whitty from Halifax, We hear, That Major Elliot and his Lady, and all the People that was on the Island of Sable, was brought off, by a Marblehead Schooner, and arrived at Halifax the 22d of last Month all in good Health; they embarked with great Difficulty.
The surf running so high, lost two boats; they had only one whale boat left, which is the best for that craft. The master of the aforesaid schooner and his people was well rewarded.
