REGRET MR. CALVERT'S DEPARTURE

Logan county teachers yesterday expressed, formally and informally, their regret over the leaving of W. S. Calvert, head of the county and city schools at various times in the past eighteen years. A high tribute was paid him, not only for his successful work here but for his kindness and high character.

At the Logan county normal institute in the Central school building yesterday it was announced by Prof. W. C. Jameson, Mr. Calvert was serving his last day as head of the summer school. Informal speeches, expressing regret over the departure of Mr. Calvert were made by Prof. Jameson, Prof. R. H. Patrick and Miss Byrne. Resolutions of the same tenor, offered by Miss Doolittle, were unanimously adopted.
