Full Text
A Swindler Cornered.—A man named Julius Ehrenberg, of Columbia, who had been for some time agent for the various city papers at that place, endeavored to leave on the steamer yesterday afternoon, without squaring up. The fact of his intended departure coming to the ears of some of the parties to whom he was indebted, they secured the services of a policeman, waited on Ehrenberg on board of the steamer, where he was congratulating himself on being secure in his knavery, and compelled him to an honest settlement of his accounts. We hope our fellow journalists will pass him round.—Morning Call.
