Sgt. Richard August of the National Guard and the Civil Air Patrol has announced there will be two cakes to be given away on the 17th of December. They will be donated by several people who have asked to do so. Who knows? You might be one of the lucky winners.
Mr. Liebig of Nome School has offered his services as an instructor in topography and map-reading. Although we are looking for more instructors in different professions, we have not found any. Anyone interested please phone or ask Sgt. Richard August.
The cadets held a dance Friday at the City Hall. There were about 70 present. Dances are held every second Saturday of the month.
The membership goal of 75 by March is still being reached for. Present membership is 54. Recruits from 14½ to 18 years are welcome to join.
