Full Text

The last Pennsylvanian contains an article urging the claims of James Buchanan to the nomination for the Presidency, and follows up its remarks by a number of extracts from Pennsylvania papers to the same effect. The Pennsylvanian also denounces in eloquent and scathing terms, the miscreant Rantoul, of Massachusetts. Rantoul, once a Massachusetts Democrat, has joined the Abolitionists with the hope of being elected for six years to the United States Senate. The Pennsylvanian charges this home upon him, reminds him of his meanness in accepting a nine days' seat at the late session of the Senate, and tells him that the "voice of reproach and the storm of public censure will haunt him to his dying hour."

Forney is doing noble service in the cause of the Constitution and the laws.
