LOVE AND BULLETS.
Worship at the Shrine of Cupid Ends in a
Shooting Scrape.
At "The Point," a locality just across
the Red river from Grand Forks, N. D.,
with an unenviable reputation, one
Harty met and shot Tom Kirk,
the
bullet
entering his forehead
and passing out at the temple. Harty im-
mediately gave himself up and is now in
jail pending the recovery or otherwise of
his victim. It seems that Kirk has been
paying his respects to Harty's daughter.
The latter objected to the suitor and the
lover circulated defamatory stories about
the girl. The wound will, in all proba-
bility, prove fatal.
