The Garfield Boom.

The Reformer of last week says:

"Up in the northern part of the district there seems to be a determined effort to nominate O. R. Garfield of Townshend. He is a cousin of the late President Garfield, and is a man of considerable more than average capacity—clear-headed, upright and practical."

We are receiving daily indications that the people are disposed to take hold of this matter in earnest. In this town and Windham, Townshend, Jamaica and Wardsboro, judging from letters received and communication with the people of these towns, the feeling is almost unanimous in favor of Mr. Garfield, who seems to be regarded as the man, as indicated by the following
