WARSAW, September 25.
The King of Great-Britain having been informed, by the Lords Commissioners of his Treasury, that some Merchants of foreign countries were concerned in the contraband trade carried on in the Isle of Man, situated on the coasts of England, has ordered his Ministers residing in foreign countries to declare, that his Britannick Majesty has resolved to make use of the utmost rigour to suppress that illicit trade, so prejudicial to his revenues, and so contrary to the good faith which should be the basis of true commerce. In consequence whereof, the Resident of the King of Great-Britain at this Court has made it public, that, that Monarch will not for the future pay any attention to the complaints of the Merchants of any nation whatever, whose effects, sent to the Isle of Man with a view of evading the custom-house duties, shall be seized and confiscated.
