Editorial Retirement.—Mr. B. Badger who assisted in the establishment of Zion's Herald in Boston, in 1823, and the Christian Advocate in New York in 1826, and who has sustained an important part of the editorial responsibilities of the latter paper from its commencement, has retired from that laborious service on account of ill health. In his farewell address in that paper of the 10th inst. he says: "The almost entire prostration of his health during the last winter gave him an indication of the will of Providence that he should change, as soon as circumstances might permit, a scene of duty so arduous and absorbing, for one allowing time for travel and scope for muscular exertion."

Release from the incessant toil to which an editor is subjected together with change of air and scenery we hope may soon restore his system to its wanted vigor.

Mr. Badger has since issued proposals for publishing a weekly paper in the city of New-York, under the title of "Badger's Weekly Messenger, to be devoted to the interests of Religion, Literature, Science, Agriculture, Commerce, and Public Occurrences."
