The Ball Season.

The reader can hardly fail to notice the list of occasions on which citizens of the county will be afforded an opportunity to "trip the light fantastic toe," and enjoy themselves generally. To-night (2d) is the occasion of Sam. Ashworth's party, at the Union Hotel, Big Flat; Friday evening, June 9th, the people will have an opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of Pat. Herrick, at Oregon Gulch, and "toe it" on a bran-new floor. Friday evening, June 16th, is the time set for Morris Indian Creek Hotel party, a list of managers of which is printed to-day. On Friday evening, June 23d, comes Wm. H. May's party, at the Carter House, Junction City. If the people fail to enjoy themselves this season, it will not be for lack of opportunity.
